From the very beginning of “Expedition Whydah” nearly thirty years ago, our mission, under the direction of underwater explorer Barry Clifford, has been summed up in the simple phrase “Education through Exploration.” We do this by discovering, recovering, conserving and displaying historical artifacts from beneath the seas, worldwide, in order to push back the frontiers of knowledge of mankind’s maritime past.
