We have the largest fleet in Provincetown with 527 bikes which includes 112 ebikes. We are renting the best bikes at the lowest cost and we offer free parking for daily renters on a first come first serve basis.
Bike Shack Rentals include: a bike of your choice, a map (of Province Lands Bike Trails which covers the best trails in the USA), lock, helmet, basket, rear rack, front and rear lights. Every BIKE SHACK rental bike is inspected before being issued to the customer and when necessary re-tuned on return guaranteeing flawless performance. Liz attended the United Bike Institute in Portland Oregon and is fully trained to service bikes and she challenges you to bring in your troubled bike to see what she can do for you at a reasonable price. No repairs are too big or too small. We stock a variety of tubes, tires, wheels, many bicycles parts and accessories. If we don’t have the part we can order it and have it within 2-3 days. We sell and rent Giant & Avocado ebikes which are the best ebikes on the market today. We rent Mountain Bikes, Comfort Hybrid Bikes, Beach Cruisers, Off Road, On Road, Child Trailers, Dog Trailers, Tag-Alongs, in various sizes for adults & children. The Center is a pioneer in marine animal disentanglement, regional water quality monitoring, high resolution seafloor mapping, seal and fisheries research, marine debris and marine plastics studies, and some of the earliest and ongoing studies of land-sea interaction.
The Center’s newly renovated Hiebert Marine Laboratory is open year-round and features the only large whale skeleton on Cape Cod, that of Spinnaker, a 37-foot humpback whale who died of entanglement in 2015, as well as specialty books on marine science for sale. We also offer field walks, educational programs, beautifully designed apparel at our kiosk on MacMillan Pier in season, and the popular winter lecture series at Napi’s the last Wednesday of the month, October—May.
The West End Racing Children’s Community Sailing (WERCCS) non-profit organization offers children’s sailing program for ages 8-14 providing lessons and equipment for a seasonal registration fee of $100.
The program is open to both residents and visitors from Provincetown and Truro. There will be a program instructor and assistant instructors on duty at all times. Regular hours are 9-noon and 1-4 pm weekdays in July and August varying with the weather and tides.
Children must be able to swim unassisted for a distance of 100 feet. Parents/guardians must register children in person at the WERCCS.
Moorings with launch service, Long Point Shuttle to tip of the Cape, sailing lessons, seal tours in high season, parties and cruises.
Hold special events on the water: sunset cruises, weddings, memorial services or fun parties. Boats hold from 2 to 39 passengers.
Flyer’s has been a working boatyard for more than 66 years, with experience in repairs on vessels and their engines ranging from 80ft wooden fishing draggers to 6ft fiberglass dinghies.
We also offer mechanical services and winter small boat storage.
Provincetown Panorama with Harbor and Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum
At 252-feet, 7.5 inches tall and 353 feet above sea level, it is the tallest all-granite structure in the U.S. and includes 60 ramps and 116 steps.
The Monument is designed to resemble Torre Del Mangia, a 14th century tower in Siena, Italy, and is of the Italian Renaissance order of architecture.
The Museum collects, preserves, interprets, researches, exhibits, and publishes archival historical materials and exhibit materials depicting important events of Provincetown history.
