Ptown Bears organizes Bear Week Provincetown, an international gathering of gay men, friends and admirers held annually in mid-July. Bears celebrate hirsute style and embrace a diversity of sizes and age. Founded in 2001, Bear Week Provincetown today attracts 8,000 to 10,000 tourists over a 9 day and 9 night schedule hosted by Ptown Bears in collaboration with local hotels and nightclubs. The event is capped off by a pair of community fundraiser balls. During Bear Week, Ptown Bears highlights Provincetown’s culinary, entertainment, cultural, and recreation resources.
