Located downtown on Commercial Street, the Library is both a literal and metaphorical center of the Provincetown community, housing nearly 40,000 items, more than 30 works of art from the Town’s Art Collection, and the Rose Dorothea Schooner model.

The second floor hosts a wonderful childrens section. It is well worth a visit upstairs for all ages to view the incredible full size fishing boat which won the famous Lipton Cup race in the early 1900’s!

Please note: Although the building is closed to the public, the Library staff is here offering street-side pick up of library material, printing, personal browsing, help with electronic resources, and more! To utilize any of these services email [email protected] OR call 508 487-7094 during regular library hours.
