When is Parking Enforced?

Paid parking is in effect in Provincetown from May 1, 2025 through November 2, 2025, 7 days a week, including holidays.

Seasonal Parking Rates

The municipal parking lot (adjacent to MacMillan Pier)
323 spaces, open 24 hours a day, $4.00 per hour, $40 maximum in 24 hours.

Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
Provincetown has four (4) Level 2 electric vehicle charging station ports in front of the MacMillan Pier off of Ryder Street Extension. The rate to park and charge at the stations is $1.50 per hour. Your vehicle must remain plugged into the station for the entire time it is parked in the space.

Stations can be activated with a ChargePoint card, a contactless credit card (such as American Express ExpressPay or Visa payWave), or by pressing the “Help” button on the station screen and calling the number provided. If you don’t have a ChargePoint card, you can have one sent to you for free by visiting Charge Point. You can search for Provincetown’s charging stations on the ChargePoint map by viewing the Map.

Grace Hall parking lot (Bradford and Prince Street)
354 spaces, open 24 hours a day, $3.00 per hour, $30 maximum in 24 hours.

Avoid parking and take the ferry!

If you’re traveling from the Boston area during the peak summer months of July and August, we recommend taking the Fast Ferry – 90 minutes each way.

Parking Violations

If you have received a parking violation from the Town of Provincetown, the violation is due payable within 21 days of issue.

Pay Parking Ticket online HERE, or mail the fine indicated on the front of the citation to:

The decision may be appealed to Barnstable Superior court within 30 days of receipt of notice of the decision, in accordance with the provisions of G.L. c 30A s. 14

Ticket Appeals
Parking violation appeals must be submitted in writing to the Parking Department within 21 days of the issuance of the ticket by written appeal form or email to appeals@provincetown-ma.gov. Please include the violation number in the subject line. Appeals forms are also available for pick up and deposit in the lobby box at the Police Station, 26 Shank Painter Road, 508 487-1213.
