The Cape School of Art has a unique purpose: to educate the artist in the perception and use of color and light in representational painting. Through workshops, classes, and lectures we work to inform a new generation of artists, patrons, Provincetown residents and visitors about the teaching and enduring influence of American Impressionist Henry Hensche and his mentor Charles W. Highland House Museum

The museum is located right next to the Highland Light. The building was once a summer resort hotel which was built in 1907. We have exhibits that highlight Truro and the Lower Cape’s history including Shipwrecks and Native Americans. Cape Cod Light

Cape Cod’s oldest lighthouse, locally known as the Highland Light, is officially named “Cape Cod Light” on the NOAA nautical chart for the region. It sits perched 120 feet above the ocean in the Highlands of Truro. Its beam shines 174 ft. above sea level to give mariners warning of the treacherous sandbars off this shore. The Highland Lighthouse is a major attraction for visitors to Cape Cod. 48″ height requirement for children. Keepers Store is handicapped accessible.

The Provincetown Film Society (PFS) is a year-round non-profit dedicated to continuing the founding mission of the Provincetown Art Colony – to provide a welcoming, nurturing and inspiring environment for boundless and authentic creative exploration – in film. From the time it was founded in 1998 the Society has been committed to serving its communities who are often outside of the mainstream, in the margins, or otherwise underserved – but have a voice critical to the evolution of artistic expression. It has also been dedicated to the celebration of Provincetown – an American treasure nestled amongst spectacular National Seashore beaches, and a shining example of diversity and inclusion.

Through the Provincetown International Film Festival Festival, Waters Edge Cinema (located in Whaler’s Wharf), Gabrielle A. Hanna Institute for film & media residencies and conferences the Society endeavors to provide year-round programming and support to aspiring, up-and-coming and established filmmakers, and to connect them with curious and engaged audiences globally.

Real Mermaids Don’t Wear Toe Rings was crreated in 2012. I am located on MacMillan Pier Art Shack 3B. My jewelry and broken glass art paintings are timeless, unique and handcrafted in my coastal art studio by the sea. I am inspired by the beauty of the ocean that aurrounds me everyday. Our shop is seasonal running from May 1-Nov 1 Hours are from 10:30-7pm. Many nights during high season I am there until 9pm. MacMillan Pier provides a lively and busy avenue of hustling & bustling activities and shops. Ferries, charter boats, whale watches and pleasure boats bring an amazing amount of people to our little town. People from all over the world from as far as Mozambique Africa have purchased jewelry in my shop. It is magical that this tiny spit of land brings such a multicultural environment of tourists. My name is Ginny Ross and I am more than grateful for this spectacular and fulfilling work experience.

The Whydah Pirate Museum
